Supports the KAT Centre
Himalayan Corporation, maker of Himalayan Dog Chew, is now a corporate sponsor of the KAT Centre’s work for Kathmandu’s street dogs
Himalayan Corporation has formed a partnership with the KAT Centre to provide important support for the dogs living on the streets of Nepal. As a corporate sponsor of KAT, Himalayan Corporation now funds the fuel and maintenance of KAT’s animal ambulances which travel Kathmandu’s streets every day to collect dogs and rescue sick animals.
Himalayan Corporation sells popular pet treats such as Himalayan Dog Chew, which is made from yak milk and cow milk, using traditional methods and an ancient recipe of the people of the Himalaya. The company is based in Washington, USA, and sells its products in many countries all over the world. It is run by a Nepali family who are very compassionate to animals (especially dogs!). If you're in North America, learn where you can buy this unique dog treat.
Mr. Ram Shrestha, a representative of Himalayan Corporation (and father of Sujan Shrestha, the CEO and president) came to the KAT Centre to sign an agreement for the partnership. Representing KAT was Jan Salter, who founded the organization in 2004, and two of KAT’s board members, Hari Bamsha Acharya and Madan Krishna Shrestha, who are famous throughout Nepal as a comedy duo.
The KAT Centre is grateful to Himalayan Corporation for its long-term support for KAT’s efforts to create a healthy street dog population in Kathmandu. We hope to form partnerships like this with other companies in Nepal and abroad. Contact us to learn more!
