Our Facilities

The KAT Centre is on more than one quarter of an acre of land in Kathmandu, Nepal. Our facilities consist of an office building, a clinic and operating theatre, 23 dog kennels for Animal Birth Control (ABC), 23 kennels for our Rescue & Treatment programme, areas for our in-house (long-term resident) dogs, two puppy pens, a cat pen, and staff quarters. We have recently expanded our Rescue & Treatment unit so we can treat many more injured and sick animals.

The KAT Centre has two vehicles, both customised for use as Animal Ambulances, which we use daily to pick up dogs for Animal Birth Control and rescue animals in need throughout Kathmandu.

KAT's animal shelter in Kathmandu, Nepal shelters stray dogs and catsIn addition, we receive donations of food from local restaurants, and medical equipment and veterinary medicines from local businesses and visitors.

If you would like to contribute needed materials to KAT, please contact us! Our wish list has some items we particularly need.
